Oz Winery and Museum

Every trip to Kansas should include a drive to Wamego, home to the Oz Winery and Oz Museum.

The Oz Museum holds one of the largest collections of privately owned Oz memorabilia in the world. Inside the museum, the Yellow Brick Road passes displays that feature L. Frank Baum, the Munchkins, Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, the Wicked Witch, Flying Monkey, Winkie Guard, Glinda the Good Witch and the Wizard. Many artifacts date from 1900. The museum also houses memorabilia from the famous 1939 musical starring Judy Garland.

The Oz Winery features a tasting room where you can sample award winning wines such as Witch in a Ditch, A Witch Gone Good and Run Toto Run.

Wamego, Kansas, is also the hometown of Walter P. Chrysler. The Oregon Trail also passed within a few miles and wagon ruts can still be seen in places.
