Sunday I rode the subway to E 77th Street and walked into Central Park to see the Alice In Wonderland sculpture. This statue, dedicated in 1959, was commissioned by George Delacorte in honor of his wife, Margarita. Alice is sitting on a giant mushroom with the Mad Hatter and the March Hare at her sides.
