I got a music "tip" from a fellow Twitter-er and bought a ticket to the Jazz Gallery (290 Hudson) Sunday night to see Jerry Gonzales & Fort Apache. Jerry, playing trumpet/flugelhorn/congas, was joined by his brother Andy Gonzales on bass, Joe Ford on saxophones, the amazing Zaccai Curtis on piano and Jeff "Tain" Watts on drums. I became a new fan of Zaccai Curtis.
