Saturday evening I went downtown Kansas City to the Folly Theater to see Christian McBride and Inside Straight. The Folly, a former burlesque/vaudeville hall, first opened its doors in 1900 and is one of the premier showplaces for Kansas City audiences.
Christian's band featured Carl Allen on drums, Steve Wilson on sax, Warren Wolf on vibes and the great Peter Martin on piano.
