After dinner I stopped by the Intercontinental Hotel to hear DJ Sweeney. DJ was joined by Roger Wilder on piano, and Steve Rigazzi on bass. Nelson Render, who was at the hotel for a conference (and had his trumpet with him) joined the band for a couple numbers, including the wonderful My Funny Valentine. Nelson is from Atlanta, Georgia, and has his own group, the PR Experience.
