After enjoying the Dale Chihuly Collection at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, and a lunch at the Hangar Restaurant and Flight Lounge at the Albert Whitted Airport, I stopped at the St. Petersburg Clay Company. This premier ceramic facility in 2000 moved into the Historic Seaboard Coastline Freight Depot, which had been active until 1967. In 2009 the Morean Art Center for Clay moved their clay education operation into the building. The Train Station is now able to offer supplies, education, studio space and galleries all in one building. One of the first displays I noticed belonged to an artist from Lakeport, Michigan!
