Located off the southern edge of New York's fabled Harlem neighborhood, Smoke, with seating for 50, presents world-renowned jazz musicians seven nights a week. Formerly known as Augie's Jazz Bar, and re-opening in 1999, Smoke, with its candlelit tables, plush velvet banquettes, antique chandeliers and a historic full length bar create a real jazz vibe to go with the excellent acoustics and sightlines. Performing Saturday night were Jeff "Tain" Watts (d), James Genus (b), Jean Toussaint (ts) and David Kikoski (p). Sitting at the bar was trumpet great Lew Soloff.
