Wow. I didn't realize it had been this long since I punished anyone with my adventures - 2 weeks - seems like just a few days.
On Thursday, March 16, I picked up my Kansas City friend at the Southwest Florida International Airport. She and some of her luggage arrived so after checking into our hotel in Bonita Springs, we went to Target and Dillard's to replace the missing items (the airline had no clue where her luggage could be, and it turned out it made a return trip to Kansas City).
The next morning we left for Boca Raton by way of I75, also known as Alligator Alley. On the agenda was a visit with Annette, a dear friend from Boston, 84 years young. After a lovely lunch on her patio, we left for a concert in West Palm Beach. We visited afterward until the wee hours of the morning and then headed back to our hotel in Boca. The next morning we were served a delicious breakfast on the patio, said our goodbyes, and headed for Sarasota. For lunch in Sarasota: a fried hot dog (nothing special), as seen on the Food Channel, and for dinner: The Columbian (wonderful Cuban cuisine) on St. Armands Key.
