I didn't want to go, but I got sucked in....
Graceland was included on the Memphis tour, and when I found you could get a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich...well....I had to drive back. And lucky me...I found a cardboard Elvis which made for a great photo op.
Graceland, the large white-columned mansion and home of Elvis Presley, is located on 13.8 acre estate in the Whitehaven community, 9 miles from downtown Memphis. It was opened to the public on June 7, 1982 and now serves as a museum. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 and declared a National Historic Landmark in 2006. Graceland is the 2nd most visited private residence in the America; only the White House gets more visitors.
