Across the street from the Brill Building is the Iridium Jazz Club at 1650 Broadway at 51st Street. Tonight's show was a tribute to the late Les Paul by the Les Paul Trio. Les Paul is often referred to as the father of the electric guitar and was probably the most influential guitarist in history. He was also an inventor, multi Grammy winner and rock and roll hall-of-famer. Les played at the Iridium for over 12 years. Opening for the Trio was TW Doyle, Les's engineer and guitarist for 26 years. The featured guitarist joining the trio this night was Mark Whitfield.
