I headed up to Reading, Pennsylvania, Friday afternoon (1 1/2 hour drive) to attend the 20th Annual Berks Jazz Fest. Reading is the capital seat of Berks County and the 5th largest city in Pennsylvania. The city lent its name to the now-defunct Reading Railroad, better known today as one of the 4 railroad properties in the board game Monopoly.
Some of the artists appearing during the 10 day festival included Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Rick Braun, Brian Culbertson, Chuck Loeb, Earl Klugh, Kim Waters, Euge Groove, Jackie Ryan, Pat Martino, Mindi Abair, Jane Monheit and Chris Botti.
