Next May 2 -12 at the Music Hall in Kansas City, the Jersey Boys Broadway musical production will be presented. Tonight I went to a preview sponsored by the Kansas City Theater League.
The evening began with complimentary hors d'ouevres and cocktails and then proceeded inside the Music Hall theater where seats were arranged on the stage! What a treat to look out at the theater instead of vise-versa. A preview of Jersey Boys was shown and then 3 cast members took the stage to talk about their background with the show and answer audience questions.
After the Q&A dessert and coffee was served. Each audience member was given a 200 page book telling the Four Seasons' story - Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, a cd of the cast recording, and a 15 song iTunes sampler of today's hottest Broadway music.
I have seen the Broadway production in NYC and it was truly one of the best musicals ever. It won the Tony for Best Musical in 2006.
