Along the route, many recipients of Long's generosity were pointed out: the Independence Avenue Christian Church, Christian Church Hospital, and the Liberty Memorial. Mr. Long was a director of the Kansas City Southern Railroad, and so our tour stopped at the railroad's headquarters on West 12th Street.
