The Pacific Symphony & Chris Botti

After eating and unfortunately before the wonderful John Proulx concert had ended, we drove to Costa Mesa's Segerstrom Hall to see Chris Botti and his band perform with the Pacific Symphony under the direction of Richard Kaufman. The symphony performed songs by Johnny Mercer and Glenn Miller. The Renee' and Henry Segerstrom Hall is part of the Orange County Performing Arts Center complex. The 3,000 seat Segerstrom Hall is a stunning venue designed by architect Charles Lawrence. It was built in 1986. Near the hall is the Henry Moore sculpture Reclining Figure, the sculpture Fire Bird by Richard Lippold and the 64' sculpture Connector by Richard Serra.
