After leaving San Diego, we drove up the coast to La Jolla. A major attraction in La Jolla is the harbor seals. In 1999 their beach was recognized as a natural harbor seal haulout (haulout is the behavior of temporarily leaving the water between periods of foraging activity for sites on land or ice) and rookery site by the National Marine Fisheries Service.
Had a cocktail and a snack at georges at the cove in downtown La Jolla before heading home.
