On a day spent in Santa Barbara, we toured the Mission Santa Barbara, the 10th of the 21 Franciscan missions founded by Father Junipero Serra in 1786, on the Feast of Santa Barbara. It still functions as a church today and is affectionately known as "the queen of the missions."
