Sunday afternoon I attended a local theater production of The Wiz at the Coterie Theater in Crown Center, Kansas City.
Adapted from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, book by William F. Brown and music and lyrics by Charlie Smith, Th Wiz is a soulful twist on the timeless classic of Dorothy who discovers the power of believing in herself.
The amazing and clever costumes were designed by Brad Shaw, who also played the Tinman. Nedra Dixon, who I knew from 12 O'clock Jump at the Marriott (see previous post) played Aunt Em, Glinda, and the Gatekeeper. Ease on down the road!
