Leaving the Central Park Zoo, I walked west along Central Park South to Columbus Circle, then south along Broadway to 46th, turning west to 8th Street/Restaurant Row. I decided on the restaurant don't tell mama and had a delicious duck breast with an Australian chardonnay.
After dinner I walked to Broadway with 2 girls from California I met at dinner, Cindi and Daryl. They were headed up to 53rd to see Promises, Promises, and I was headed down Broadway to 43rd and 7th to see The Pee-Wee Herman Show at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The show is now a stage play that reunites Pee-Wee (Paul Reubens) with his beloved Playhouse Gang, Chairry, Miss Yvonne, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi the Genie, Mailman Mike, and many more. Many in the stage cast are originals from the 1981 television show.
