After touring Biltmore, I drove 2.5 hours to Columbia, the capital and largest city in South Carolina. Sadly, the Columbia Museum of Art was not open the next day, or I would have been there because they have a Dale Chihuly glass installation! I also thought the downtown Boyd Plaza and its sculptures was interesting as was the huge chain link between the Kress Building and its neighbor.
