Today I headed out with Captain JR on a 3 hour ecological tour of Cape Harbour, the Caloosahatchee River, San Carlos Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico. In the tropical waters I spotted numerous dolphins, egrets, cormorants, pelicans, ospreys, and bald eagles. (Appropriately) I had a picnic style lunch on deserted Picnic Island. On the return trip I traveled through mangrove edged canals. It was a perfect day to spend on the water.
