On 10-10-10, the Annapolis Pretentious Film Society screened What's Up Lovely an independent film directed by Gary King and starring Jenn Dees.
The movie tells the story of Lucy, a recently unemployed insomniac, who wanders the streets of New York, discovering a city beyond her wildest imagination. During one unforgettable night, she comes face to face with her innermost fears and desires as she tries to find her way back home. What's Up Lovely is a drama about the struggle to survive the city while battling the enemy within ourselves.
(Other than being filmed in NYC, and using a few interesting filming techniques, I don't have anything good to say about the movie. The photo is of the director, Gary King, and actress, Jenn Dees, who held a Q&A afterward.)
