Thursday night I was extremely fortunate to receive an invitation to attend the live PBS taping of Joshua Bell with Friends @ the Penthouse at Lincoln Center's Stanley Kaplan Penthouse. Joshua, a classical violinist, invited several of his friends to perform on a record with him and also to perform for the PBS taping. Guests included Sting, Regina Spektor, Frankie Moreno, Marvin Hamlisch, Nathan Gunn, Chris Botti, Tiempo Libre, Renee Fleming, Jane Monheit and Carel Kraayenhof. A reception with open bar and hor' d' oeuvers was held immediately after the taping for artists and guests. It was one of the musical highlights of my life.
