This film's premise is that the officially cancelled Apollo 18 mission was actually launched in December 1974 but never returned, and as a result the United States has never launched another mission to the moon. The only good part of this movie was that it was filmed in "found footage" style, supposedly of the lost footage of the Apollo 18 mission that was only recently discovered.

An inventive 11 year old New Yorker discovers a key in his diseased father's belongings and sets out on an urgent quest across the city for the lock it will open, encountering an eclectic assortment of people who are each survivor's in their own way. Loved it. Had me questioning all through the movie and my questions were answered at the end in ways I didn't suspect. (One "cinematic leap" that bothered me, but then there's always something.)

An escaped convicts attempts to prove his innocence by climbing out his NYC Roosevelt Hotel window in order to create a suicide spectacle/diversion that allows his brother to steal a diamond from a shady real estate baron. Fair movie except for the apparently "necessary" girlfriend dressed in skin-tight leather with a hot pink bra peeking out, ensemble complete with gold hoops the size of salad plates. Catering to a dumb audience.
Joyful Noise - starring Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, Courtney B. Vance
Two strong minded women choir directors have different ideas on how to win the annual Joyful Noise competition. Dolly Parton was pretty scary. The daughter of Queen Latifah's character and the grandson of Dolly Parton's character were wonderful.
