Monday night, with 2 girlfriends, I went to North Bethesda's Music At The Strathmore venue to see A Smooth Jazz Christmas.
The Strathmore, built in 2001, is a 1,976 seat concert hall and education center. Supported by a public and private venture with the State of Maryland, Montgomery County, and corporate and individual philanthropists, the Music Center at Strathmore boasts unprecedented partnerships with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Performing Arts Society, and the National Philharmonic. The same design team also created Seiji Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood, summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
