Loch Raven Reservoir

Ms. Adventurous got out her Baltimore map this afternoon and took a short driving trip to the Loch Raven Reservoir. The reservoir, built in 1881 as a dam and water tunnel, now provides drinking water for most of Baltimore County. The tree lined drive through the area is spectacular and, in a few weeks, should be gorgeous with fall color. While sitting on a tree stump watching the Canada geese, I looked up and spotted a bald eagle!
